Smoke Bombs, Laughter, and Sweet Treats with Makayla & Andrew

There are so many engagement photoshoot days that just stick with me, and not just because of the photos, but because of the people. For this writing upon the pages of my journal, I shall talk about Makayla and Andrew’s engagement photo session on October 11th, 2025. This was one of those unforgettable ones where everything just clicked through laughter,

color,

and yes… smoke bombs.

It’s shots like this that remind me why I love what I do. From the moment I met them, I could tell the day was going to be an adventure. They weren’t just a couple, they were a team. Easygoing, genuine, and full of the kind of contagious energy that makes everyone around them feel at peace because this will be a great day!

Now, let’s talk about those smoke bombs. Surrounded by autumn leaves, laughter, and just enough colorful haze to make us feel like we were on the set of a music video, we went all-in for the perfect shot. Their energy, patience, and teamwork made the whole moment effortless, and the results absolutely show it.

After all the excitement, Makayla and Andrew surprised me with homemade cookies and cupcakes as a thank-you. That small gesture meant everything. It reminded me why I love what I do! From not just capturing moments, but connecting with incredible people who genuinely appreciate the experience.

By the end of the day, I wasn’t just their photographer; I felt like part of their story. It was a day full of color, warmth, and sugar (the sweets only lasted for a few hours).

So here’s to Makayla and Andrew, the couple who proved that love, laughter, and a few smoke bombs can make pure magic. Looking forward to capturing their beautiful day on June 20th, 2026 especially from the theme they had in mind… is priceless!
