An Unforgettable Engagement Session with Kylie and Miles (and their Energetic Pup!)

At My Only Visuals, I always strive to create a comfortable and fun atmosphere during photo sessions, and Kylie and Miles' engagement shoot at Hartwood Acres Mansion was a perfect example of that. It was a day filled with warmth, laughter, and a few surprises like their energetic dog, who definitely kept things lively!

Kylie and Miles were initially a little shy in front of the camera, which is completely natural. I could sense their nervousness as we started the session, but with a relaxed approach and some lighthearted conversation, we began to ease into the shoot. One of my goals was to help them feel more comfortable and allow their personalities to shine through, and I’m happy to say that’s exactly what happened. With each click of the camera, they opened up more, and soon they were fully enjoying the experience.

A big part of the fun came from incorporating their lively dog into the session. He was full of energy, darting around and keeping everyone on their toes. At one point, it seemed like he might never sit still for a shot! But thanks to his favorite toy a little monkey we managed to get him to focus and capture some beautiful moments with him in the frame. It was one of those unexpected challenges that made the session even more memorable and added so much personality to their engagement photos.

Kody, my assistant for the day, was also a huge help throughout the session. From managing equipment to helping with the dog, his support allowed us to capture a wide range of shots, keeping everything running smoothly. Kody's assistance meant that I could focus more on Kylie and Miles, helping them relax and truly enjoy the session. His presence made a noticeable difference in the flow of the shoot, and I couldn’t have done it without him.

Hartwood Acres Mansion provided the ideal backdrop for this memorable shoot. The estate’s timeless beauty, with its grand architecture and expansive gardens, gave us endless options for both posed and candid moments. We explored different areas of the property, using the stunning fall light to bring out the best in every shot. Whether Kylie and Miles were laughing together beneath the trees or standing in front of the mansion’s intricate stonework, their connection was undeniable.

By the end of the session, their initial shyness was a distant memory. Kylie and Miles were laughing, embracing the experience, and their love for each other and their dog was clear in every frame. I’m beyond excited to share these photos with them, as they capture not only their love story but also the lighthearted, fun spirit that made the day so special.

At My Only Visuals, we’re all about creating an experience that feels true to you. If you’re looking for engagement photos that reflect your unique story, with a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, we’re here to make that happen.
